One Last Summer Beach Trip

In the end of August we took our last beach trip of the summer. Josie played more in the sand this trip than she had on the previous trips, but still insisted on wearing her crocs and socks to walk on the sand! Josie had fun playing with friends Lilly (who turned one during the trip), and Maddie (10 months). She also, of course, had a great time with her grandparents!

We celebrated Lilly's 1st birthday at the beach. Josie was quite delighted to eat her chocolate cupcake in celebration.

Wagon Ride to the Beach

Lilly and Josie decided to try out Lilly's new wagon by letting the Grandma's take them on a stroll up the boardwalk to the beach.

Josie models her new hand-knit sweater for the fall (mama hopes that it will still fit her then). (also of note, as soon as we get some bedding for the bed behind her in the picture, she'll be moving into a big bed!)

The TWINS!

Okay, so these pics don't feature our star lady, but I had to include them. In early August, I spent three wonderful days with my good friend Anne and her sweet baby girls - Piper and Violet (2 months in these pics).

Jori's Wedding Weekend

We had fun hanging out with my college roommates and their babies during Jori's wedding weekend (back in July). Josie was the oldest at 2 years, followed by Hayden (then 9 months), Emily (then 6 months), and Molly Corin (then 3 months).

VA Beach Trip

This past week, Josie and I went to VA beach with four other mamas and five other little ones, ranging in ages 5 to 10 months. We had a fabulous time - thanks to my parents and the Hammer's for letting us stay at their beach house!

Josie has not yet developed a fondness for the sand, but for the first time consented to walk on that strange stuff (if she had her tennis shoes on!). She even amazingly dug around in it a little bit!
