Momma and Josie snuggle for a picture. Josie is wearing the beautiful sweater that her Aunt Amy knit and her Nana put the zipper in. Posted by Picasa

Here's Josie's best friend Libby and mom Heidi. Josie was happy to have them come over for a visit this week. Posted by Picasa

Pleased as punch to be sporting her new jean dress from Nana. Posted by Picasa

Josie and I spent a week at the beach and (gasp!) took barely any pictures! This one does sum up the week - Josie enjoying her granddaddy. She even learned how to greet him by name, saying, "hiieeee randaddy" the whole week! A close second to spending time with grandaddy was watching the squirrel eat from the birdfeeder. Josie now says "a swirlll" when she sees squirrels!!!  Posted by Picasa

More "randaddy" snuggles. Posted by Picasa

Josie ate up Grandma's cooking - she's enjoying some taco salad in this picture. Posted by Picasa

Josie sporting her new brown ruffle dress is pleased to be snuggled by mommy. Posted by Picasa

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas (and Josie's first Christmas). Ben's parents (Nana and Grampy) visited for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and Jaime's parents (Grandma and Granddaddy) visited for the couple days after Christmas. Thanks for traveling to be with us!!! Posted by Picasa

Grandma and Granddaddy visited Josie and family the day after Christmas. They were thrilled to witness Josie's first discovery of her belly button! She still peers over her belly to find her button when prompted! Posted by Picasa

She continued her inspection for a full 5 minutes! Posted by Picasa

Granddaddy reads Josie her favorite Spot book. She loves maneuvering the flaps and turning the pages. Posted by Picasa

Josie decides to inspect the floor below the chair...probably enjoying her new favorite game of tossing something to the ground and then studying it's descent and clash to the ground. Posted by Picasa

Josie was most interested in this big present that was a gift from Nana and Grampy for momma and daddy. She did her first "pulling up" on this big box. Posted by Picasa

Josie now feeds herself! Sometime in December, Josie figured out that those cheerios that momma kept putting out for her weren't just fun to play with they were fun to pick up and eat! After that, there was no stopping this eating machine - she feeds herself most of her foods now, with peas, kidney beans, avocado, bananas, toast, and cheese being some of her favorites.  Posted by Picasa

New books!!! Josie loves this new one from Nana all about babies. Daddy takes time to read Josie her new gift. Yes, it did take us all day to unwrap the Christmas gifts - between attending church, cooking and eating a ham, Josie's naps, and the fun of exploring each gift as it was opened...we didn't finish unwrapping the last gift until evening! Posted by Picasa

Josie's best stuffed friend joins in on the Christmas festivities, much to Josie's delight. Posted by Picasa

Josie is very impressed by Nana's work on her stocking - she studies each stitch! Posted by Picasa

Josie takes a break from the unwrapping to play with her new stuffed cow from her Aunt Amy and Cousin Christopher. Posted by Picasa

Josie opens a gift from momma and daddy and has alot to say about it. Posted by Picasa

Josie and Grampy open yet another gift for Josie. Posted by Picasa

Cute brown-eyed girl! Posted by Picasa

Josie's tickled pink (or purple in this case) over her new snow bunny hat (the ears just missed the photo). Posted by Picasa

Josie had great fun enjoying the Christmas tree. Besides greeting it with a big grin and saying "Hiiieeee" to it daily, she also enjoyed trying to taste it's needles and detach it's ornaments. Posted by Picasa

Like momma, like daughter. Josie reaches for the same ornament that her momma had bit the toe off of when she was not much older than Josie. Posted by Picasa
