Our Little Piglet

Because of her love for all things Pooh, mama made Josie a Piglet costume this year for Halloween. Josie wore it tonight for the All Saint's Fair at our church. She had a great time at the "party" as she called it, and didn't want to leave. She even was able to try out some of the games, winning Mama some good candy! The night concluded well, with a viewing of the moon and with Josie agreeing that she'd like to become an astronaut when she grows up!!!

Bear Coat

Josie has become recently fascinated with the fact that it gets dark at night and that the moon and stars come out. She now has a nightly tradition of bundling up (usually in her teddy bear coat, made by mama for last winter - it now finally fits!) and taking a night time walk with daddy to see the stars, the moon, the airplanes, and the nearby traffic light!

Josie goes Shopping

Josie enjoys going grocery shopping with daddy, b/c he lets her push a cart (instead of ride in one like she does when she goes with mama). In these pictures Ducky gets a ride (or Ducky-O as she has nick-named him recently) and Josie pauses to consider buying some dog food - considering we don't have a dog, could this be wishful thinking?!!!

Old Navy Doggy

We now make frequent visits to Old Navy to visit the "Doggy" (a cute little plastic dog that talks to you when you press a button on his bench) - Josie adores this doggy and will start shouting "doggy, doggy" whenever we drive into the shopping center.

Picking Pumpkins at Carter Mountain

Josie loved exploring the pumpkin patch so much that she wouldn't sit still for a photo (until we sat her in the wagon)! She especially loved the straw and climbing on the pumpkins.

Picnic at Carter Mountain

We went to Carter Mountain a couple weeks ago for a picnic lunch. Josie enjoys walking laps around us as we eat and will stop by each round to take a bite of something.

Josie's Grampy came to visit and much to his delight, she no longer calls him "Piggy"! She had a fun time adorning him with stickers and sitting with him during dessert.

"Snuggle" i.e. Tunnel

Josie developed a love for tunnels and bridges after our trip to the beach. Here she makes her own tunnel ("snuggle") and attempts to drive a car through it! Posted by Picasa

We spent last weekend at the beach. Josie loved the trip there and has been asking me all week to see the tunnel that we drove through (her pronunciation of tunnel sounds like "snuggle" so it took me awhile to figure it out). She still will not walk or touch the sand, but loves to be held for walks to the beach.  Posted by Picasa

Granddaddy and Josie set out for the "oey" (i.e. ocean) - what a picturesque day!  Posted by Picasa

Good friends Katie and Will joined (well, actually invited) mama, Josie, and Grandparents to the beach. Here Katie takes an early morning stroll to introduce Lilly (6 weeks old) to the beach.  Posted by Picasa
