Nebraska Trip

After Thanksgiving, Josie and I flew to Nebraska to visit best friends Heidi and Libby. If you remember, Libby was born just a few weeks after Josie and they had "played together" at least weekly since birth UNTIL Libby's family moved to Nebraska for work and family. We have missed our favorite friends and it was quite a treat to spend some time with them again. The girls really had fun together and were quite sweet with each other. Libby gave Josie hugs at bedtime and would bring her stuffed animals to play with. Josie enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with Libby, "where'd Dibby go? Peek-a-boo Dibby!". Libby called Josie "Jose" and both girls were quite concerned about the other if they weren't in sight.

Now that we're back home, Josie often asks about Libby or is often reminded of Libby in certain situations. They are good friends!

Leaf Piles

Josie knew it was going to be a good trip when the first day in Nebraska started off with playtime in the huge leaf piles that Libby's Daddy raked up for them.


 
  

Monkeys Jumping on the Bed

Josie and Libby thought it was quite fun to climb into Libby's crib for a little jumping and playing. Mama thought this worked quite well for containing them for pictures! (this method had worked well in the past - check out Libby's blog (see links) for a flashback).

 
 
  

Trip to the Zoo

Thanks to Heidi's new mini-van, we were able to pile in two toddlers and a newborn (Heidi takes care of a newborn for part of the week)for a chilly trip to the Zoo. Josie's favorite exhibit was the family of gorillas - she was quite impressed by the "big Daddy" gorilla who stood guard over the baby gorillas.

 
 
 
  

Day at the Children's Museum

We took the girls to the Children's Museum and they had a great time exploring. We attempted to take a photo of the girls on a haystack, but they were interested in other things...

 
 
 
  

Happy Thanksgiving!

Josie enjoyed her first Thanksgiving that didn't consist of pureed Turkey! I didn't take a ton of pictures that day (too busy eating!), but I did capture a shot of Josie tasting her first pumpkin pie - thanks Nana for sharing!

 
 
 
  

Josie and Daddy visit Nana and Grampy

Josie and Daddy took their first trip SOLO together without Mama this past November. They had a wonderful time at Nana and Grampy's house, while Mama stayed home to work.
