Josie is now 13 months and is enjoying being more mobile and more vocal. She is not yet walking on her own, but as you'll see below, loves to get around anyway that she can. She loves music and has figured out exactly how to turn on our bowes system by the remote so that she can dance and sing to her favorite Norah Jones cd. Her dance involves a side-to-side shuffle and her song is the "oooo, oooo, oooo" chorus to Sunrise by Norah Jones (sounding somewhat similar to Josie's owl impersonation!). She thinks it is really funny to make a machine gun noise and to fake yawns. She also likes to tickle her stuffed animals, her parents, other children, and herself and say, "giggle, giggle, giggle, giggle"! Her first word was "Hi" at about 10 months and the words that have followed are: daddy, ducky, randaddy (Granddaddy), worrel (squirrel), owl, Heidi, baby, cheese, pooh, ba ba (for momma), up, giggle, brub ber (for Brown Bear), bubble, bir (for bird), shoes, keys, paper, cracker, bye-bye, bapa (for back-pack), bean, apple, and car. She also now refers to both owls and dogs by their animal sounds.
